The first seven chapters of the book explain in simple English, with minimum technicalities, the basic principles of ecology and how the animals and the plants of the entire world are mutually dependant for their survival and flourishing., The eighth chapter gives some kaleidoscopic glimpses of the beauties of the various ecosystems on Earth?s surface, and how the animals and plants of each ecosystem are beautifully adapted to suit the specific demands of each of them., The last two chapters i.e., ninth and tenth have been devoted to outline, how owing to the insatiable greed and anthropocentric attitude of Homo Sapiens, the green envelope of our Mother Earth is being wrecked everywhere with painful consequences?
