Chapter Twenty-Nine

Hawk

Her mouth was utterly intoxicating. I quickly put the bumper sticker in my pocket and wrapped my arms around Hannah, pulling her flush against me as I bent to kiss her deeper. We fused together, her fitting so perfectly against me. She had this spicy cinnamon taste to her mouth, and I couldn’t help but breathe her in, reveling in the smell of her.

We moved so easily, like we’d done this a thousand times before, like this frenzy was from months of dating and not one single kiss. A satisfied, little breath escaped her lips as I licked into her mouth, and my cock twitched at the sound. I needed this little siren so badly it hurt, needed every single little sound and breath, needed to feel her soft skin pressed into mine.

I lifted Hannah by her ass and she let out a squeak of surprise as I set her on the railing . . . and then I quickly pivoted her away as I thought about us getting carried away and falling into the electric fence that lined the tiger enclosure below. That would definitely be one dramatic way to ruin this moment.

I carried her over to the aviary door and slid the lock across so I could lean her against it—and prevent any of my siblings from opening the door and interrupting us. Hannah clung onto me, her mouth crashing into mine as if she were just as overcome with need as I was. I’d hoped that kiss in the Jeep had been buzzing through her mind as much as it had for me.

There was something completely magnetic about her, something so different than anyone I’d been with before. I’d always gravitated toward the sensible, stoic types who looked good on paper but were far too tame for the kind of life I led. Hannah was so antithetical to everything that I thought I wanted in another person, and yet here she was, a hurricane, one that I had no choice but to get swept up in.

Hannah’s fingers dove into my hair and roved down my neck, back, arms, as if she needed to map out every inch of me. Each touch pulled me closer into her as my hips settled against her core. When she rocked against my hardening length, I groaned, my mouth feasting on her, my hands more urgent. What was this frenzy? I’d never been so completely overridden by lust in my life, and Hannah seemed just as desperate.

One hand held her up by her gorgeous ass, and the other dipped under the hem of her T-shirt, feeling her warm, soft skin. My hand strayed farther north and I paused. Normally, I didn’t go from first kiss to possibly fucking in twenty-four hours . . . Normally, I had more time to know what someone liked and didn’t like with an abundance of communication and consent in between. I was definitely not the sort of person to grind on a staff member against the door to an aviary, but somehow here I was, tumbling into this whirlwind headfirst.
