A Note from the Author

Umbral Coil presents a few interesting things for me. In one case, it shows that when I really get into a character, zone or plot, there’s no restraint at all on leaving it to one side. It needs to be started, and needs to be done! This tale will tie in to other stories in time, which is something I really enjoy doing. More than just writing stories, writing what builds up into a real world of its own is great.

In another, it’s setting up the groundwork for something that I’ve had some awesome fans ask after for a while in form of some erotic action with a lamia – half snake. Indeed, not so much spoiler as how I wanted to word the last line with more snap, but that ‘snake’ has the upper body of a beautiful woman. Her role and interactions in the coming volumes will be both pivotal and a lot of erotic fun.

This ‘Chronicles’ volume is also a little experiment in utilising Kindle Unlimited to my advantage, aiming to push out volumes at a faster pace as a sort of exclusive ‘subscription content’ to those utilising it, and later releasing a novel format release to all channels.

It feels like a good idea to me, and without your support – newly here and now, or through the years of finding my feet and understanding what really works – none of this would be possible. Readers mean everything to an author, and I’m always thankful to have this moment to share my personal thoughts and comments with you.
