Chapter Four
Thyme had never felt more alive than she did at this moment. Filled with Rossâ thick, satin-skinned cock, covered by his powerful body that could destroy her with its alien strength, she felt strangely safe. She knew by his extreme tenderness he wanted to please her. In spite of his own consuming lust, he thought of her first.
Then it struck her that he had no idea who she really was. Knowing sheâd lied to him sent a rush of guilt through her and nearly soured the moment. Nearly. He began pumping into her and any thoughts except those of pleasure raced from her mind.
âRoss, oh, yes. Donât stop!â she cried, clinging to him with arms and legs, knowing that no matter how hard she gripped him, she could never really hurt him with her mere human strength.
âThyme! Hell, lady, I canâtââ
She knew by his labored breathing and the way his sweat-dampened body trembled against hers that he was on the verge of losing control. So was she, for that matter.
âDonât stop,â she gasped. âItâs all right. Iâm here. Just let it go, Ross. Donât hold back, love.â
With a primal cry, he surged into her, pumping fast and hard, driving her over the edge.
Thyme moaned and writhed in orgasm, her hot, wet sheath pulsing around his cock.
Rossâ control snapped and he came so long and hard she thought he might never stop.
Finally he collapsed on top of her, his body nearly crushing her, but she welcomed it.
âRoss,â she whispered, languidly stroking his damp back, feeling the last tremors roll through him and the tension in his steely muscles release.
âIâm crushing you,â he muttered and turned onto his side.
Thyme purred softly and he pulled her closer, cupping the back of her head and holding her cheek to his chest so she could hear the strong, steady rhythm of his heart.
Thyme sighed with contentment and kissed Rossâ chest. Her fingertips swept over his side and along his hip.
âThis is one night Iâm never going to forget, Counselor,â he said and kissed the top of her head.
For a moment, Thyme forgot to breathe. Her eyes flew open and she lifted her head to stare at him in shock. A triumphant smile curved his lips and his gaze fixed intently on hers.
âHow did you know?â she demanded.
âGive me some credit,â he said. âDid you think that after talking to you for four years, I wouldnât recognize you?â
âBut youâve never seen my face or heard my voice without filters.â
âI know you, Counselor. At first you had me fooled, but once we started talking, I knew. What I donât understand is why.â
She stared at him in utter disbelief. âIâd think that would be obvious.â
âYou wanted to go to bed with me?â
âNo, I love you, you big moron.â
His smile faded and he gently pushed her aside and rose from the bed.
Now sheâd done it. Sheâd moved too fast and he would undoubtedly withdraw. Disgusted over her mistake, she wrapped her arms around herself and watched him pace.
