They’d found the target location easily enough—clear directions had been received, so someone’s intel gathering was solid—but waiting for the gate to open for them was a pain in the ass. Of course, their employer couldn't find them a way in, although that was undoubtedly for the best. When people pulled that shit, they inevitably created trails that led directly to them.

And when clients were caught in the act, they cut deals that fucked those they hired right up the ass.

A bright yellow BMW eventually approached the gate of the MacDonald Ranch,. The music that blared from inside was loud enough that the bass vibrated the windows of their Range Rover, and it seemed like exactly the kind of thing that they had hoped for.

Dexter immediately drew in behind the BMW and grinned when it swerved a little. A drunk driver. In Vegas. How fucking shocking was that?

But it was a better choice for them to use cover as the occupants wouldn’t be all that aware of their surroundings and especially not of any vehicles behind them. Guards always manned the entrance of gated communities like this, but they didn't like to separate parties traveling together and usually allowed everyone to enter without stopping them.

Of course, questions weren't acceptable to the residents when they were returning home to their million-dollar houses for a night of debauchery.

The gate swung open and the driver of the BMW drove through with them close behind. The tinted windows didn’t raise any eyebrows, and the BMW remained oblivious to their presence so close on his tail. The gate was held open for them, and they drove through as the guard tipped his hat to the car with a knowing smile.

The guy probably thought the second vehicle was bringing the hookers or something. He could think what he liked as long as he couldn't see inside. Dexter remained behind the BMW until they were out of sight of the guardhouse, then veered quickly down the road their GPS had highlighted for them.

"Here's good." The sniper tapped him on the shoulder. It was an open area that sloped gently into the hills surrounding their target location. He stopped the Rover at the side of the road, and she climbed out and immediately jogged straight into the open space. She knew where the house was and probably wanted to get an overwatch position to make sure no one escaped. There was also the fact that she would be able to see the cops coming and warn them.

Or, if his experience told him anything, she would bail and leave them to deal with them on their own.

That kind of uncertainty was why he hated gathering teams in a rush like this.
