SEO tactics are not the only ingredient that Google looks for nowadays.
Optimize your website
It is still important to make sure that your website is keyword-rich and that your designers have optimized your site before submitting it to search engines. However, nowadays it is not the âbe all and end allâ of everything. There are two other elements to making sure that you have a chance in ranking on Google.
Create a buzz
Google (and other search engines) is no longer just looking at your website in order to give it a rating in the algorithm. Its spiders or robots are looking all over the internet to see if you are a good business worthy of being sent up the rankings. Google is everywhere. It is looking in open forums, on social networking platforms, blogging platforms, online newspapers, etc. If your business is being spoken about, or your content is being shared, then you will see a rise in the search engine listings. It is your responsibility to make your business and your content as popular as possible.
Fresh content
The critical factor for Google is new, fresh, unique content. This is what convinces Google your website is still current, important and influential. Iâll explain:
Google will send its spiders or robots to have a look at your website. They will then collect all that good, juicy information and keywords and send it back to Google so that it can be indexed. A few weeks later, Google will resend those spiders back to your website, but this time they will only be looking for any new information on your site. That new information is then sent back to Google for ranking. But what happens if there is no new information on your website? Well, Google thinks to itself: âThis company hasnât updated its site, so I will send my spiders back in four weeksâ time to check.â When the spiders come back in four weeksâ time, and there is still no new information on the site, Google will say: âNo new information; I will send my spiders back in three monthsâ timeâ, and so the cycle continues.
