And when we write in automatic mode, too often the muscle memory in our fingers reaches for the cliché.
Try this: the pen is mightier than the tap
Get a paper notebook and put it next to your device. Write a first draft of your tweets down by hand before you type them. Writing with a pen makes use of the âwhole bodyâ of your hand. You will find it is slower but that the slower process helps to bring previously underused, subtle aspects of yourself up to the surface, with the result that your words really will begin to say more fully what you mean. It can be surprisingly refreshing to make yourself think ahead in the way you need to do when you are writing with a pen.
