GLITTER TEXT ON A WHITE BACKGROUND

1 Using your Apple Pencil, letter a word or phrase on a new layer with the color black using either the simple lettering brush we created in the previous section (see here) or your favorite Procreate brush.

2 Search for a free high-resolution glitter image, then save it to your iPad. Now, select the Actions tab and choose Insert a photo. The image will automatically open on a new layer.

3 On the layer that contains the glitter image, use your Apple Pencil to tap on the letter “N,” which is located next to the checkmark on the far right of the layer. (Note: The checkmarks can be turned on and off by simply tapping them with your Apple Pencil. If the layer is deslected the layer becomes hidden.) Once the “N” is selected, a drop-down menu will appear. Select the Lighten tab at the very bottom of the drop-down, and select Screen, which will make the text transparent, allowing the glitter background to show along with the white background.
