Colonic Hydrotherapy â The Bodyâs Roadworthiness Test
As we have learnt in previous chapters, the intestinal microflora in your gut is a key player in health. If the intestinal ecology of the gut is not in balance, and the diet inadequate, then over time the colon begins to show irritation at the level of the mucosa and hard, acidic, and rotten deposits begin to stick to the walls of the intestine.
Even if evacuation is completely normal, sticky toxic residues stay stuck to the folds of the intestine. They progressively accumulate and end up âfoulingâ the colon, forming a crust. The dirt can come to cover many parts of the large intestine with these hardened plaques and impede its functioning. This, in turn, leads to imbalanced microflora and reduces the local defenses, creating a vicious cycle.
This toxic process can be compared with the pipework of your house when there is an accumulation of lime. If you turn on a tap when the pipes are partially blocked by the lime, the water comes out but with less force and is of poorer quality; it can even can become undrinkable. When this happens, you wouldnât hesitate to call a plumber to come and check the system as soon as possible, and you would carry out some preventive work to avoid future problems, such as fitting a filter. Agreed?
The same happens with our âpipes.â We expel the residue, but each time in lesser quantities and without tackling the buildup on the walls. The quality of the feces gets worse, converting more into acid and bad smells and irritating the anus, making it itchy and encouraging the formation of hemorrhoids and anal fissures.
General clinical medical practice confirms that no patient is free of intestinal disorders. As we have seen, across the world millions of people suffer from mild to chronic irritable bowel syndrome, and millions more suffer with severe constipation. A number of people have a high probability of developing cancer of the colon during their lives.
Pathologists who perform autopsies and study the tissues of cadavers report that 60â70 percent of the colons they examine contain fecal material as hard as stone and decades old. According to the World Health Organization, 80 percent of cancers and metabolic illnesses can be prevented through an adequate diet that leads to a healthy digestion. Thatâs 80 percent! Donât you want to sign up?
As it is not always easy to modify your eating habits, avoid stress, or exercise regularly, it can be of great help to know about natural measures and techniques that are effective for improving intestinal elimination.
One such method, colonic hydrotherapy, is available to anyone who wants to improve his vitality and health. Its offers several beneficial effects, and results are seen quickly. These include an immediate sensation of lightness and well-being, weight loss, better mental functioning, and a noticeable improvement in physiological functions. A properly functioning gut is a basis for good health.
Some people, however, find the idea of cleaning out their intestines a little offputting. To run water through the colon is no more risky than rinsing out your mouth or gargling.
