First trading day complete! Notoriously a quiet one, the first day back after the holidays has lived up to its lacklustre reputation. With most trading activity not resumed until tomorrow, a quick glance across the major pairs doesn’t inspire much. There are, however, a couple of things I would like to show you.

1. Pin bar in USD/JPY

The first of these is the pin bar that has formed in USD/JPY. Illustrated in Figure 3.4, a first look suggests that this could be an opportunity, but there are some things I must consider before jumping into the trade.
