I become conscious of the involuntary movements of my eyes and eyelids. I see how I interrupt communication by incessant blinking. Looking into space, without focusing on any particular point, I learn to communicate, to be the other, to be the object of my contemplation. I rediscover the peaceful gaze of the child who studies the world. I rediscover the peace of the gaze that wants nothing.

Little by little, I transform each blink into a conscious act. I become conscious of the way in which the eye naturally moistens itself. I note the difference in communication that is established when I truly look at people and things.

I let my gaze find rest by taking the time to require nothing of it. I allow my gaze to go out and meet the world by avoiding the hyperactivity that masks my reality. I caress textures. I allow my gaze to be the mirror of consciousness.
