2 Shape the dough into a thin roll and cut into 5-mm thick slices. Lay the slices on a greased baking tray, brush with the whisked egg yolk and scatter over the caraway seeds. Bake for approx. 15 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 200 °C (Gas Mark 6, fan oven 180 °C).

Cheese puffs

Preparation time: approx. 20 minutes (plus thawing and baking time)

Makes 4 servings

300 g deep frozen puff pastry

1 egg yolk

150 g Edam cheese

sesame seeds

poppy seeds

caraway seeds

1 Let the puff pastry thaw out. Place the pastry sheets on top of one another and roll out so that they are 3 mm thick. Cut out rounds of approx. 5 cm diameter and brush with the whisked egg yolk.
