I went out into the hall and yelled out to Tanesha that I was leaving she stepped out of the bathroom and gave me a hug and said "I love you Shaye' call me when you get back to the city" I hugged her with all my might "I love you Nesha and I'll do just that and when Tariq gets home I'll make sure it's cool first then I'll be giving you the address so you can come see me.." I pulled away and turned for the stairs.

By the time I got to the car I was a mess. I saw Tanesha looking out her bedroom window and my heart broke even more. I started the engine and backed out the driveway. As I was driving down the street I passed momma and since the windows were tinted she couldn't see me but I got a hell of a mean mug. I jumped on the highway and in the process I called Tariq "Hey You, I'm on my way back into the city. You need anything before I get to the condo...?" he stopped to talk to someone then he replied "No Love, I don't need anything I got enough of what I need when I get home" I had to ask "And what's that..?" he cleared his throat and said "You of course" I smiled from the inside out "OK...I'll see you when you when you get home"-"Alright Love, Bye"-"Bye Tariq, I love you" Dammit did I just say that out loud. He chuckled and said "It's OK Shaye', I love you to" and we hung up and I sang all the way home.

I had been staying with Tariq for three weeks now and it was beautiful. We ate out on the patio often, every other night we walked along the Pier. We went for long drives and listened to music and sang off key. I was really falling for Tariq and I could tell the feelings were mutual. I received a phone call from my sister one nite at about 11:30 and she was hysterical "Shaye' you gotta come quick its momma..."

I jumped up outta bed and asked "Where are you..." she was breathing erratic "Where at Presbyterian Hospital" I shook Tariq "Baby wake up its momma..." he jumped up and grabbed me and him a pair of sweats and we threw on our wife beaters and grabbed our jackets at the door and headed out. Tariq had just bought him an Escalade and he was pushing the limits.

We arrived at Presbyterian in no time I ran into the emergency room and approached the nurses’ station "I need to find my momma" the nurse looked at me like she didn't want to be at work that night "I need a name ma'am" she said with all attitude "Bitch don't make me..." and right when Tariq walked in my sister came thru the double doors "Shaye' she's back here, hurry up" she threw over her shoulder a hello to Tariq and we kept shit moving.
