Data preparation and creating helper columns in columns F:J

In cell J4, we want to extract a unique list of "Type" by using the function:

=UNIQUE(O3:O274)

In cell I4, we want to extract a unique list of "Floor" by using the function:

=UNIQUE(L3:L274)

Using these 2 columns we can create our first basic drop lists in B2 and B3 as follows

Select the destination cell B2

On the Data tab of the ribbon, click on Data Validation in the Data Tools group.

From the "Allow" drop list select "List"
