The Inherited Ink Blot

A child born into a family draws from a reservoir of genes which carry both positive and negative family patterns. The process can be likened to a computer that receives information about the traits and weaknesses the new family member needs for one’s learning in this life. Those patterns not needed at this particular time remain dormant or latent in the subconscious.

Unlike the black cloud, which is triggered when a personal trauma coincides with an old family problem, a negative inherited pattern, which we call the ink blot, is already present in the baby from the time of birth. It can take the form of negative tendencies, emotions or traits on any level of the person. The family black cloud is attracted from outside the person, whereas the ink blot is within them from the very beginning.

If a person has been working conscientiously on the negative aspects of themselves, and is aware of the lessons to be learned from them, the process can be accelerated and the negative patterns lessened. To accomplish this, an ink blot is visualized by the person. As soon as it appears on their inner screen they should shine a beam of light on it, which will gradually lighten it so that it can be more easily dealt with in a later session. This exercise should be practised once every day for at least a week, and longer if necessary. The length of time is determined by the speed with which the blot is dispelled by the light. When this has been accomplished and the blot has lost its black colouring, the person can be taken into a waking dream session in which they can ask to be shown what else needs to be done to erase it completely from their personality.

My daughter saw that her ink blot was like a dark muddy pool which dried up as she shone the light on it each day. At the end of a week the original area was outlined in black, so that it was still faintly visible. When she asked to be shown what she should do now, she was prompted to take a spade and dig up the earth all around the space. When she had done this she decided to plant seeds of the opposite traits to replace the ink blot.

Each person discovers his own method of dealing with their ink blot when it has been seen clearly. Sometimes the ritual is long and elaborate, while others prefer to make it quick and simple. As with all the other techniques, it should be accomplished by the individual person, as they the best ones to beam the message of its removal to their own subconscious.
