Tip: KG Boolean

In the Control Panel under Setup -> Basic, you can select up to five KGEs. Just as with the Schema.org objects and the list of sites to search and exclude, this setting entries (KG Objects) form a Boolean OR query. Pages will be relevant to at least one of the defined objects. It is also possible to use a CSE to look for pages that contain both of two different objects (a Boolean AND), though the method is not obvious.

The method uses Refinements (which we discussed in Chapter 6). First, enter one KGE in the Restrict by the Knowledge Graph Entity box under Settings -> Basic. Then navigate to Search features -> Refinements and define a refinement that contains another KGE-based restriction. When an end-user performs a search and selects the refinement, the AND is applied: only results relating to both KGEs will be shown.
