As the websites and apps that teens use are constantly changing—fewer teens use Facebook than ever before—many of the adults who want to help you are having a harder time keeping up. According to Teensafe.com, in 1995, 50 percent of teens were online every day. Teens were watching an average of two-and-a-half hours of MTV every day, and there were only 23,500 websites. In 2005, 87 percent of teens were online daily, mostly sending emails or playing games. Myspace was the most popular social media website, Facebook was only one year old, and there were 64.8 million websites. In 2015, 95 percent of teens were online daily, phone calls have been replaced by text messages, 81 percent of teens were using social media, and the number of websites had ballooned to 1.2 billion.
