I am not trying to imply in this chapter that past-life regressions are a cure-all. Rather I am making the point that regression therapy may have an effect on some mental problems that therapists have never suspected.

By applying past-life regressions to many physical and mental illnesses, I have discovered one thing for sure: Regressions are not games. They are powerful tools for therapy.

What Do They Mean?

Now that my attitude about past-life regressions has changed, I respond differently to questions about their meaning. The next three chapters are the best explanations I can offer about the meaning of regressions.

Which one do I believe? I do not believe in any single explanation. As you will see in these chapters, I have regressed dozens of patients and found that they can be fit neatly into the different categories of regression, even the one known as reincarnation.

Which brings up the most often asked question about past-life regressions: "Do these vivid recollections of some kind of past life represent reincarnation?"
