Thought Journaling

In order to deal with these dysfunctional thoughts and beliefs, a person should keep a dysfunctional thought record. This record will use the ABC Technique, mentioned earlier, to discover dysfunctional thoughts and to reframe them into something more balanced. However, unlike the ABC method, the thought journal is organized into seven columns instead of three. For instance:

On the far left of the page write out the first column. This will have the time and date that a dysfunctional thought occurred.
