It's late afternoon the following day, and I'm sitting outside the house of Jack Sanders, or his dying father's home, waiting for him to return. "You must got it bad for this woman if you're willin' to put the fear of death on this guy." Grim takes a toke off of his cigarette.

"We're not here to share feelings." I cut my eyes at him.

"I'm only saying what everyone's thinkin', Prez. It's not a bad thing, you know. Shit. Once the women find out about Elizabeth, you'll never hear the end of it."

I shake my head because he's right. The brothers' old ladies have played matchmaker and meddled in my love life for years.

We watch a red Mazda pull into the driveway from across the street, hidden behind an empty house. Jack Sanders steps out of the car. The man has issues. From what Brewer dug up, he has a pattern of attaching himself to women, or I should say stalking them. He's had four restraining orders placed against him in the past five years and one assault charge, which he did a little time for.

Grim and I wait for him to enter his home before crossing the street. We enter the house through the unlocked front door. Dumbass.

Having already scoped out the inside of his home earlier in the day, we make ourselves comfortable in the living room while Jack hits the shitter. Twenty minutes later, Jack walks into the living room, stopping dead in his tracks at the sight of two bikers, one with a gun pointed at his face.

"Take whatever you want," the pussy says and throws his hands above his head.

"We're not here to take your shit, dumb fuck." I stand.

"Then—then, what do you want?" he stammers.

"You put your hands on my woman." I make a move toward him, and Jack back steps, hitting the wall behind him.

"I don't know what you are talking about," his voice shakes.

I'm in his face, standing toe to toe with him at this point. "Elizabeth, your father's nurse," I growl, and his eyes widen. "That's right, fucker," I bury my fist in his gut, and he doubles over. "She is mine, and I don't take kindly to other men puttin' their dirty, unwanted hands on her."

"She never mentioned having a boyfriend." He stumbles to the side, knocking into a small table near the couch. "And I didn't see a ring on her finger." Finding his backbone, the motherfucker propels his body forward and takes a swing at me but misses. Losing his balance, he falls to the floor. I dig the toe of my boot into his ribcage, causing spittle to fly from his mouth.

"You won't get away with this. I'll have you arrested," Jack yells.

Grabbing a handful of his hair, I lift him from the floor. "You stay away from my woman," I warn him.

The asshole glares then spit in my face. "Or what?"

"You fucked up," Grim tells him.

Before the fucker has a chance to wipe the smug look off of his face, I remove it for him with my fist.
