“Hey, you don’t have to hide your tears from me. I’m glad you’re going back to therapy. I have to see that smile every day.” He winked; it made me blush.

“The reason I asked, Darnell invited me to SkyeZone next month and I already know that Vanessa is going to be there and since I don't want to be a third wheel, I wanted to know if you would like to come with me?”

Darnell is his best friend, and Vanessa is Darnell’s girlfriend. Whenever Darnell would call during the summer, I was always around Ant, so I talked to them. They were cool as hell in my book.

“Umm yeah, sure, I would love that!”

He blew out a long breath, which made me giggle because it seemed like he was holding it in.

“Okay cool, so this would be like our official first date, huh?”

“Um, yeah, I think so because I don’t count the drive-in as one.” I teased him.

He licked his lips. “That was our first date, not my fault. You didn’t like the movie.”

“Boy, bye, you forced me to see that movie!”

“Whatever, whatever. We can fight about this all day long, but you know that was our first date.” I stuck my tongue out.

“Don’t stick it out unless you plan on using it.” He stated with a smirk and stuck his out as well. My cheeks got hot, and my middle got warm…

“Umm… ummm… I’m about to go to bed, sir.” I said, trying to deflect the conversation.

“Alright Ms. Sweet goodnight boo, Do you mind if I pick you up for the rest of the week?”

“I don’t mind as long as I pay for breakfast this time?”

He thought about it and was going to say something, but he went against it.

“Fine girl…”

I smiled.

“Oh yeah, I forgot, your mom invited me to have dinner with y’all on Sunday,” I told him.

His eyes grew to the size of golf balls. “She did?! Hold on…”

He got up from his bed and I heard him calling his mom while I was laughing at his response. He came back into bed and started smiling.

“Well, I got my ass cursed out, but I guess I’ll see you Sunday then, Ms. Sweet.”

“What! She cursed you out!? What did she say?”

As soon as he was going to answer my question his mom came to the phone.

“I told him he doesn’t have a say so on who I invite to my house.”

Anthony blew out air and rolled his eyes. I smiled, trying not to laugh. She saw him rolling his eyes and hit him in the chest.

“Ow, ma that shi—thing hurt.”

“And that’s why you got hit. Try to curse in front of me again and see what happens. Don’t show out on this phone. Goodnight, Michelle sweetie.” She breathed as she walked out of his room, shutting the door behind her.

“Don’t laugh at me, Shelly, she irks me.”

Even though I tried my best to hold my laugh in, I couldn’t any longer, which made him laugh as well.
