Time to go, thought Zac, getting up.

He froze. The Shift Suit was tingling again. Zac’s pocket gave a shake and a little ID badge flipped out onto the front of his jacket.

‘OK,’ Zac muttered, staring down at his clothes, ‘now are you finished?’ He stood up from behind the car and walked across the street to the HairCo factory.

The two guards stood blocking the front doors, arms folded in front of them. They stared down at Zac as he came up the steps towards them.

‘Hello, gentlemen,’ said Zac, putting on a deep voice. ‘I’m from the Bladesville Safety Council.’

‘What do you want?’ grumbled the guard on the left.

‘I’m here to perform a surprise safety check on this factory,’ said Zac.

‘In the middle of the night?’ said the guard on the right, looking very suspicious.

Zac’s eyes flashed to his watch.
