The LED with Activated Light is a basic project for beginners in circuit engineering; it is meant for a clearer understanding of the concept of resistance. The LED lights up with the application of sufficient resistance; if resistance levels are insufficient, the light won’t be activated.

Materials:

Around 10 pieces wire

1 piece LED

1 piece LDR

1 piece 10nf capacitor

1 piece 100nf capacitor

1 piece 10K resistor

1 piece 4.7K resistor

1 piece 555 IC timer

1 piece 220 ohm resistor

Procedures (as shown in the layout above):

To the bottom of the LDR, create a connection to the 4.7K resistor.

Parallel to the 4.7K resistor connection, create a new connection to the LED, followed by the 22 ohm resistor on top.

From the 22 ohm resistor, create a connection to the 555 IC timer.

To the bottom of the 555 IC timer, and parallel to the LED connection, create a new connection to the 10nf capacitor.

To the left of the 10nf capacitor, create a connection to the 100nf capacitor.

On top of the 100nf capacitor, create a connection to the 10K resistor.

Create a connection to close the circuit.

Establish connection to a power supply.
