Cindy received another great honor at the 1995 World Summer Games. She was chosen to carry the Wisconsin banner and lead the 76 members of the Wisconsin team into the stadium during the opening ceremony. As she entered the Olympic stadium, a video of her story was shared on a jumbo-sized screen for everyone in the stadium to see. In the video, Cindy said that she wanted to be a great winner in life and that it was most important to her to have “the simple things of love, happiness, caring, and to be free.”
