Financial Difficulties (Students)

Some students approached the social worker with their financial needs, seeking assistance from the Sunflower project. When the social worker explained the aims and objectives of the project, some students failed to return for support. This is an area which requires ongoing attention and possible intervention particularly as research indicates a link between school dropout rates and child labour (Bhalotra, 2003) and the reported increase in child labour in Ghana.
