“I caught these two snooping outside,” Fixer told the men.

“Spritle!” Speed cried.

“How come you let these men take you here, Speed?” Spritle asked. “Don’t you know they are part of the Alpha Team?”

Speed was startled. “What?”

“I recognize this guy,” Spritle said, nodding up toward Fixer. “He’s the same man who offered Pops a bunch of money for you to join the Alpha Team for the big race.”

Speed turned to Wiley. “So that’s why you tried to capture the Masked Racer!” he realized. “You’re afraid he’ll be able to beat your team.”

“It’s too bad you’ve discovered my plans for the Trans-Country Race,” Wiley said darkly.

Before Speed could react, Wiley’s four thugs lunged forward and grabbed Speed. He tried to break away, but the four musclemen had him in a tight grip.

Speed couldn’t get away, but Chim Chim had other ideas. He swung up and bit Mr. Fixer in the arm!
