Dominion Lord

The next two levels of the tower prove to barely challenge the Ruby Ranked group, as they easily destroy my skeletons and death skeletons. When they arrive on the top and final level of the tower, the berserker charges my skeleton champion. It has an effect, Debilitating Fear, which washes right over the charging berserker.

She twirls around, and as she does so, her ax glows. The sharp head of the weapon strikes my champion and in a single devastating blow, she slices it in half. The bones clatter to the ground before turning to dust.

“Nicely done,” the old wizard compliments his group. “This first level wasn’t too bad, but I have a feeling the new addition is going to be challenging.”

“Greater challenges mean better loot,” the dwarf says.

“Ooh, and maybe we can run into Mr. Core – the mysterious Dominion Lord. Did you see him on the bridge? He was so handsome. His face is chiseled like that of Fillorious the Flower. And his two love slaves… the succubus and the human… they were so pretty.”

“Love slaves?” Brenna queries.

“Oh yes! They are his love slaves. And I think they are just the first of many. Something has just come back to me.”

“What’s that? Rexen asks.

“Just an old memory. I think I explored this castle once with another group. Though they might have all died in the castle.” She rubs her chin. “Maybe not all of them. I think one of them, a sexy dragon kin might have begged for her life. Well, I was alive too…but hiding where not even the castle could see me. The Core agreed to spare her if she became one of his thralls. Fairly sure that’s what happened.” She rubs her chin again. “Huh. I think before I vanished – it being boring exploring a castle all by myself – I told her I would come back and free her. Don’t think I did that. Oh well. Anyhow, I remember when the Core made his dramatic appearance; women of all different species surrounded him. Say what you will. He may be a grey Core, but he doesn’t discriminate.”

“She was here once before. And I had a dragonkin for a lover?”

A flash of a tall, scaly woman with light blue hair enters my mind. A chill runs through me before it slips away like a willow-the-wisp.

I want to speak with this fae. She was here in the castle in the past before the light bitches destroyed my walls and my essence fled to another world.

A dozen lovers of varied species. My own personal menagerie of exotic women, all of whom called me Master. I damn certainly want to hear more about that.

I focus my will once again onto the small group of adventures.

“That’s more like it,” the dwarf says as he approaches the treasure chest that has just popped up from the stone floor. He pulls out his loupe again and holds it near the lock of the chest. “It's clean,” he says, pushing open the lid.
