Love and Social Life

Your 7th house of love is not prominent this year. It is basically empty and only short-term planets will move through there. Also, as we’ve mentioned, most of the long-term planets are in the Eastern sector of self – of personal independence. The Western, social sector will strengthen as the year progresses, but only briefly. This is not a strong romantic or love year. Usually this shows contentment and stability in love. Singles tend to remain single, those who are married tend to remain married. But this year we have an unusual number of eclipses – six this year (two more than normal). Moreover, five of the six will impact on the love life. Two eclipses – one solar and one lunar – will actually occur in your 7th house. And since the Moon is your love planet, the four lunar eclipses this year also affect the love life. There will be many shakeups in the love life, many disruptions, many crises this year. The good news is that good relationships – those that are fundamentally sound – will survive. It is the flawed ones that are likely to dissolve.

Often these love testings are not happening because of the relationship per se, but because of personal dramas in the life of the beloved or that of friends. Love is a rocky ride this year. Fasten your seat belts.

The Moon is the fastest of all the planets. Where the other fast-moving planets need a year to move through your entire chart, the Moon will do so every month. So there are many short-term – very short-term – trends in love that can only be covered in the monthly reports.

In general, you have stronger social magnetism when the Moon is waxing (growing) than when she is waning (getting smaller). The waxing Moon increases your enthusiasm for love as well. The New and Full Moons tend to be strong love days (if the aspects are good). Also the Moon’s perigee (when she is at her closest distance to earth) will increase social magnetism and energy.

With the Moon as your love planet, mood is everything in love. You (and the people you attract) can be very moody about it. In a good mood, love is magical and perfect; in a bad mood love can turn to hate. It is vital to keep your moods positive and constructive.

The strength in your Eastern sector of self makes you more independent – a good thing. However, in love independence is not that good. You might feel that you will do whatever you want, regardless of the feelings of your partner. So while independence is a good thing, avoid disrespecting others.

For the past two years your ruling planet Saturn has been in your own sign and this remains the case for much of the year ahead. Thus you are more of a Capricorn than usual. All the Capricorn strengths and weaknesses are greatly magnified. Thus your business and management ability is at all-time highs. (This is a very good position for business.
