Chapter 6

Capone

I set Nina down and walk toward the back of the Clubhouse where our Chapel is. I drop my phone in the box Rose made for us. It started out as just a box and she bedazzled it with some sparkly shit one day with Nina. I open the door and enter. It’s just me at the moment and I reflect on everything that’s ever happened in here. The huge oak table with our MC logo is etched deep into the wood sitting proudly in the middle of the room. Names of brothers both alive and fallen are whittled into the table, thanks to Dagger, making sure we never forget. Some names are burned out, those are the ones who betrayed our club and the rules we abide by. There’s a small sofa to the left of the table and a refrigerator next to it. On the walls are pictures of each MC member with their rides. Some are staged photos, but most are candid. The candid ones are more prominent.

I sit at the head of the table and pick up the gavel. This is another piece of artwork from Dagger. The handle is shaped like a serpent snake made from Ivory. The head is carved into a skull with a menacing smile. Its shape represents what we do. We’re sneaky and attack when the suspect least expects it, striking fast and we bring him to death without batting an eye. With all the fucked up shit our club has been through the past few years, I wish we’d have a break from it, but it doesn’t appear it’s coming any time soon.

Blayze is the first one to enter the Chapel with Dagger and Torch hot on his heels. Blayze is quiet as he takes his seat next to me. Dagger and Torch are deep in conversation and I know what it’s about. He’s conflicted about what to do with Rose and Daisy. I know he has an attraction to both and probably trying to figure out what to do. Dagger rests his hand on Torch’s shoulder, bowing his head in prayer then take their respective seats. Tiny and Bear come in next, they’re pushing and joking around with each other before they take their seats. Behind them, Derange and Trigger come in. They’re quiet as they take their seats. The only one missing is Red and we’re starting the meeting without him since he’s with Danyella and knows what’s going down anyways.

I slam the gavel onto the table bringing everyone’s attention on me. I set the gavel down in its spot and steeple my hands in front of me. “I have some news for all of you who don’t know yet. I got a call from Jameson in NOLA and there’s a new threat on our Club. Apparently, the Black Railroad we thought ended when we killed off Bloody Scorpions is back up and running. We have conformation it’s here in our city again. This time they’re using shipping containers to move the women from location to location.
