Lemon Butter Glaze

Ingredients

1 cup (4 ounces) powdered sugar

3 Tablespoons (1.5 ounces) unsalted butter, melted

2 teaspoons heavy cream (see note )

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions

Sift the powdered sugar into a small bowl. Add in melted butter, heavy cream and lemon juice. Whisk until completely smooth then drizzle the glaze over the entire cake. Any remaining glaze, as well as the glazed cake, should be stored in the refrigerator.

Note: If you do not have heavy cream you can use milk, or even water, in its place however the glaze will not be as thick.
