Wild Cowboy Bride

Tiffany Marie Colson is a beautiful but troubled young black woman.

When she finds out she is being forced to move to Texas to live with her father and his new wife, she is devastated. The thought of having to leave her mother behind is more than she can bare.

Everything changes however when one day on the ranch she is saved from certain death on a runaway horse by Wayne, the gorgeous cowboy who looks after her father’s horses.

It does not take Wayne long before Wayne and Tiffany become very close.

However, Wayne knows he might lose his job if the boss finds out he is sweet on his daughter.

Tiffany Marie Colson had been through a lot in her short life. But she had never been as angry, as she was right now.

"I'm not going", she said sharply. Her mother, Claire, stood in the kitchen doorway, a pot in her hand. She had been about to fill it with water and start it boiling for dinner, when the growing intensity of the conversation interrupted.

"I'm sorry, Tiffany" her mom replied, tears forming in her eyes. "But I don't know what else to do. I just need time to organize a new place."

She was talking about Detroit, of course. The place Tiffany had already spent most of her life.

Tiffany had been born in Hutzel Hospital, and lived in more houses than she could count. But it had all gotten much worse when her parents divorced when she was fourteen. Her father had left them the house in Inkster and moved to Texas. Without his help, her mom was struggling to keep afloat.

The bank was about to repossess the house, and her mom was going to move in with her parents. Unfortunately, Tiffany's grandparents lived in Garden City and only had room for her mum.

It wasn't as if Tiffany had been expecting her mother to be able to afford to stay in that house forever. Not with her job as a waitress at the diner down the street. Sure, she'd had enough money saved up to get them by for a few years. But Tiffany had known it wouldn't last. She had known this day would come.

But she had never imagined that she and her mum would have to separate. Why couldn't they share a bedroom? Why wasn't her mother fighting for a way to keep them together?

Tiffany loved her mother more than anything in the world. They had become extremely close since her father left, and Tiffany couldn't imagine living with anyone else. She felt hurt and betrayed.

And she definitely did not want to move in with her father.

"I don't care!" she burst out.
