BRICK BATH

SUPPLIES

• Plastic building bricks

• Bathtub

HOW-TO

Fill the bathtub like you normally would for your toddler, BUT spice it up by dumping in lots of plastic building bricks. Let your kiddo build in the water for as long as they want (our record was an hour-long brick bath and three times adding in more hot water).

When your toddler is done, use a colander to scoop out the bricks and lay them on a towel to dry. Make sure the bricks are separated and the studs are right side up to drain the water out. That’s a great job for little hands to take care of. I’ve never had any problem with mold—my bricks always come out much cleaner than before.

WHY IT’S GOOD

It’s a chance for your child to build in water and experience all of the fun STEM challenges that come with that. It’s also a great sensory experience to be immersed in a bathtub full of plastic building bricks.

WHAT ELSE

Think of all the bath plus toys possibilities out there. Any toy that is sealed and plastic will work great, like toy cars or plastic dolls.
