Jaak called Jacob from the back room of the Bow Street Pub, which was deserted, boarded up.

“Jaak, where are you?” Jacob asked.

“In the back of the bar, getting her ready for mothballs. We need to get together. Jared set up a new base, and he sent me something for you guys.”

“The whole group?”

“Yes,” Jaak said, “including Henry, although we chatted a little while ago.”

“About what?”

“We’ll talk about it at the meeting. It’s the big building at the corner of Congress and Purchase Streets.”

“That’s the Government area.”

“Yep,” Jaak said. “The only high-rise on that intersection. Go in the underground parking garage with the hybrids and wait. The garage should be deserted. The building just changed hands. A Belgian minister bought it.”

“Huh?”

Jaak chuckled. “We’ll be right under their noses. Be there by four. Okay? Pass the word. It’s important.”

“Got it, I’ll let everybody know.”

Jaak ended the call, glancing over at Quint and Ashley. “Take anything you’ll need in the next several months. It’s too dangerous to be here.”

“Gonna miss this place, boss,” Quint said. “Classy dive.”

“The Bow Street Pub will rise again. Don’t you worry about that.”
