Fishy As Fuck
Santino
I glared at Luceâs photo on Rexâs iPad. She was dressed in the same white gown she wore to the Crucible Masquerade, which posed an interesting question. Rex had eyes and ears all over the city. How was this the only picture he had of her? Was it because she was recently engaged? Or because Walsh was that good at keeping her hidden?
My gaze moved down from her stunning face to the globes grazing the top of her dress. A bit of that pink glitter dusted her clavicle. I sat back to ease the pressure in my pants because I knew that powder was all over her perfectly round nipples and her pretty cunt.
Since Rexâs visit three days ago, Iâd been trying to figure out Luceâs role in Walshâs plan to take over Hellâs Kitchen. That she was an assassin for him, sent to kill me, made sense to me. The part I couldnât get behind was why Luce would agree to marry that old man, who obviously had some kinky tastes. I snapped the iPad shut. A lump churned in my stomach every time I thought of Luce as his pet. I wasnât an idiot; she was dressed in that leotard for him. Everything about how she was dressed and prepped screamed submissive. But I knew she was anything but.
That was the part that intrigued me about her. The fire in her eyes and her eventual surrender had become a drug to me. I hadnât even fucked her yet and I couldnât stop thinking about her.
âMr. Buratti?â My assistant Lia stepped sideways into my line of sight. âEr, your next appointment is here.â She gestured toward her desk outside my office, where one of Rexâs guys stood waiting.
âLet him in.â
Finally, I was going to get some answers.
âDon Buratti.â He put out his hand, then took it back and did a quick bow.
âDon Buratti is my father. Sit.â
âOf course.â He swallowed, placing his laptop on my desk. âI have the information you requested.â
âHow did you get this feed? You told us that day we didnât have to worry about cameras.â
If someone had sent it to Rex to intimidate us, I couldnât well trust its contents. In the aftermath of the assault, we were so concerned with getting out alive, we didnât bother to look back to see what kind of devastation we left behind. At least, I didnât. But now that the proverbial dust had settled and Walsh knew we were Italian mob, the time for shifting our tactics had come. I needed to know everything that happened that night.
âThere were no cameras in the vicinity, sir. This was shot with a phone on the scene.â He sat closer to the edge of his seat. âThat is, Walshâs system is sophisticated, but not enough that I canât beat it. Erm, my theory is that someone came in after you arrived and recorded what you did. The video will hold in court.â
âI donât give a shit about that.â
We had enough cops, lawyers, and judges on our payroll.
