Fishy As Fuck

Santino

I glared at Luce’s photo on Rex’s iPad. She was dressed in the same white gown she wore to the Crucible Masquerade, which posed an interesting question. Rex had eyes and ears all over the city. How was this the only picture he had of her? Was it because she was recently engaged? Or because Walsh was that good at keeping her hidden?

My gaze moved down from her stunning face to the globes grazing the top of her dress. A bit of that pink glitter dusted her clavicle. I sat back to ease the pressure in my pants because I knew that powder was all over her perfectly round nipples and her pretty cunt.

Since Rex’s visit three days ago, I’d been trying to figure out Luce’s role in Walsh’s plan to take over Hell’s Kitchen. That she was an assassin for him, sent to kill me, made sense to me. The part I couldn’t get behind was why Luce would agree to marry that old man, who obviously had some kinky tastes. I snapped the iPad shut. A lump churned in my stomach every time I thought of Luce as his pet. I wasn’t an idiot; she was dressed in that leotard for him. Everything about how she was dressed and prepped screamed submissive. But I knew she was anything but.

That was the part that intrigued me about her. The fire in her eyes and her eventual surrender had become a drug to me. I hadn’t even fucked her yet and I couldn’t stop thinking about her.

“Mr. Buratti?” My assistant Lia stepped sideways into my line of sight. “Er, your next appointment is here.” She gestured toward her desk outside my office, where one of Rex’s guys stood waiting.

“Let him in.”

Finally, I was going to get some answers.

“Don Buratti.” He put out his hand, then took it back and did a quick bow.

“Don Buratti is my father. Sit.”

“Of course.” He swallowed, placing his laptop on my desk. “I have the information you requested.”

“How did you get this feed? You told us that day we didn’t have to worry about cameras.”

If someone had sent it to Rex to intimidate us, I couldn’t well trust its contents. In the aftermath of the assault, we were so concerned with getting out alive, we didn’t bother to look back to see what kind of devastation we left behind. At least, I didn’t. But now that the proverbial dust had settled and Walsh knew we were Italian mob, the time for shifting our tactics had come. I needed to know everything that happened that night.

“There were no cameras in the vicinity, sir. This was shot with a phone on the scene.” He sat closer to the edge of his seat. “That is, Walsh’s system is sophisticated, but not enough that I can’t beat it. Erm, my theory is that someone came in after you arrived and recorded what you did. The video will hold in court.”

“I don’t give a shit about that.”

We had enough cops, lawyers, and judges on our payroll.
