Hyacinth sipped a drink she had made from the contents of the spa's cold cabinet while she watched Sofia soak in the Jacuzzi. The woman intrigued her, but it was more than that. Mentally shaking herself, giving herself a reminder she had a job to do before her silliness ran away with her. Aware of Sofia watching her as she stepped into the water, she held the other woman's gaze.

Now is my chance, she thought and moved her feet towards Sofia. She would seduce her, steal the diamond, then dump her back in the arms of her family. But did she really want to do that?

Sofia's face flushed at the contact, but she didn't move her feet. 'Are you seeing anyone, darling?' H said, her predator instincts doing their best to surface.

'Sort of,' Sofia smiled.

'Sort of?' H took another sip of her drink.

'I've met someone on the Internet.'

H fought to hide her astonishment, keep her tone level. 'Have you actually met this person, or is it still virtual?'

'Virtual,' Sofia said, 'but she wants us to meet soon.'

She! Hyacinth did a double take. 'She lives in Sicily?'

'No. Here, in the UK,' Sofia said, 'she's a doctor.' She smiled fondly, reached out to Hyacinth.

H smiled back feeling a pang of sadness, about to do something she had never dreamed she would do. She stopped the other woman's hands from touching her. She knew what Sofia was thinking: she also knew there was no other doctor in the Italian's affections. 'We should not do this, Sofia. Ours is a business arrangement. If we bring sex into it then it will become complicated. I'm sorry.'

She watched Sofia's eyes widen in surprise, show fleeting disappointment quickly replaced by anger. Her tone was icy when she spoke. 'Yes, you are right.'

'Are you angry with me, Sofia?'

'You dare to ask,' Sofia retorted.
