Miles and Directions

0.0Leave the parking lot and take the wide marked path heading south through woods. Shortly pass the nature trail and the Ibis Shelter and reach the first junction. Turn right here, heading toward the canoe launch. The other way will be your return route.

0.1 Come to a second junction. Here the Fisherman’s Trail leads left while the Lake Rogers Trail leads right. Take a few steps and pass the canoe launch on your left and the Eagle Shelter on your right. Begin circling the lake counterclockwise.

0.5Pass a marker labeled West. A mown path leads to the water.

0.8Pass the Kingfisher Shelter on your left. Curve out to peninsula of the lake.

1.3The trail crosses a little wooden bridge. Begin curving back toward the north into the lake. Pass a marker labeled South.

1.5Reach a four-way junction. A spur trail leads left to the shore of Lake Rogers. Picnic tables stand near the water. A second spur trail leads right to Lake Raleigh. Continue straight on the Lake Rogers Trail.

1.8Pass the foundation of a forgotten structure. Benches with good lake views are nearby.

2.0Pass the Kestrel Shelter. Continue straight on the Lake Rogers Trail. Fisherman’s Trail leads off to the left.

2.2Reach the trailhead shortly after completing the loop portion of the hike.
