Melody halted abruptly at the looks on their faces.

“Thanks, we’ll be right there,” Nick told the other witch, dismissing her. Once she was gone, he turned back to her. “No, Mel,” he said, adopting Dean’s name for her. “The provost doesn’t normally meet with newly shifted pairs. That’s Mrs Hardinger, she’s the counsellor for bonded witches and shifters. So, whatever is going on, we’re coming with you. You might not be ours yet, but you’re going to be.”
