Get Quality and Buy 1st Class if You Can

The next section is just about buying QUALITY. And, anybody who’s reading or listening right now remembers going to the store during your life, and you looked at an expensive pair of shoes, and then you looked at another pair of shoes that was a little less, and you bought the pair of shoes that was a little less. And, in the end the pair of shoes that was a little less didn’t look quite as good, didn’t last quite as long, and certainly weren’t comfortable enough on your feet, and I mean, sometimes you better just go ahead, and buy a $300 or $400 pair of shoes, or $900 pair of shoes. I don’t know what a great ladies shoe costs, however, great handmade shoes start out probably $300, $400 in cash right now in 2017.

I remember back when I was a young law student working in a building in downtown, working downtown, and there was an old attorney there who had some custom made shoes from London, and one pair was 22 years old, and another pair was 25 years old, and they still looked brand new. He had them shined and conditioned at least once a month and took them off the moment he got home. He had them custom fit where he had some company make a mold of his foot in London, and he had the shoes mailed to him, you know, every 10 years he had a new pair, or something, unbelievable.

The same holds true with a nice belt, a nice jacket, a nice care, a nice suit, and on and on it goes, and even Mr. Trump uses a story about buying some sports team that is valuable. He says, if you buy, go for the big league and get a hold of a real team that’s first rate, you know, whether it’s an NFL or an NBA team, and it’s always going to have value because market leaders always maintain their value. And, the same holds true with the property. If you’re in a great part of town, whether you’re in the smallest house or the largest house, those well situated properties usually maintain their value.
