1. Flopping Bear

Stand in a higher Bear Stance with the feet about shoulder width apart. Make your hands into loose fists and keep your arms relaxed by your side.

Turn your body to the left. (Fig-62) The turning should be done with enough speed so that your relaxed arms will swing with the movement. The left arm will swing behind the body and the left fist will tap the lower back. The right arm will also swing to the left but the fist will tap the lower abdomen. (Fig-63)

Then turn the body to the right and let the relaxed arms swing to the right. (Fig-64) The right arm will swing behind the body and the fist will tap the lower back. The left arm will swing to the right and the left fist will tap the lower abdomen. (Fig-65)

Keep the arms relaxed and the fists loose. The movement of the arms should be generated from the waist and the hips turning. Do not tap yourself too hard. This exercise should feel comfortable. As you turn the body back and forth, keep the weight centered between the feet. Keep your feet on the ground and your knees in line with your toes.

Swing the body for a couple minutes.

This exercise can be practiced separately and is a good warm up for any physical activity.
