LITTLE CHALLENGES

Libra doesn’t seem all that hard to manage, especially as an infant and young toddler. So full of talent and potential, surely this little artistic angel will grow up to become the perfect lawyer, poet, or military strategist? Probably not, especially if you don’t provide Libra with adequate challenges and consistent boundaries. Like most human beings, Libra seeks out pleasure, affection, and gratification, but most of all, Libra likes to find ways around doing work! When absorbed by passion for finger painting or dancing, this child can be extremely focused and excel beyond your wildest dreams. Yet when confronted with the boring basics of learning how to tie shoes or tell time, Libra will try to outwit you in desperate attempts to get around doing it and finding an “easier way.” Come to think of it, the inventor of Velcro fasteners must have been a Libra! The more mundane a task is, the harder Libra will find it to master. If half the energy of what it takes to find a way around doing the work were to be put into actually getting it done, many tearful fights would be avoided. Always be firm about getting Libra to “follow the leader,” and make sure it’s understood that the leader is you.
