From Europe, Philip the Fox howled, “Ooowwwooo,

ooowwwooo, ooowwwooo. I’m ready to lend a paw.”

From Asia, Mita the Monkey hollered, “Whooop, whoop,

whoop. Count me in.”

From Australia, Mathilda the Kangaroo chattered,

“Chootta, chootta, chootta. Let’s get going.”

And finally, from the South Pole in Antarctica,

Emperor Penguin sneezed, “Ahchoo, ahchoo, ahchoo.

I know where the lost letters are.”

“Good news, Baby Santa,” Prancer smiled. “The

Emperor Penguin found the Christmas letters.

Somebody delivered them to the South Pole in

Antarctica instead of the North Pole.”

“But how will we get the letters here?” Santa asked

when Baby Santa told him where the letters were.

“I have a plan,” said Baby Santa. “Our animal friends

will work together and bring the letters across all

seven continents to the North Pole!”

Santa was still concerned. “But how can they do that?

They will have to carry the letters across deserts,

mountains, and oceans.”

Baby Santa smiled. “Don’t worry. All animals have

special skills. Some can hop across deserts, some can

fly over mountains, and some can swim through the

ocean. They will make a perfect letter-carrying team!”

“Great idea, Baby Santa, but we must hurry,” Santa said.

“There’s only a week until Christmas!”
