You may also attract helpers who come to you because they love what you’re working on and want to share their knowledge and expertise with you. Their connection with you is more impersonal, since they’re not connected with you from the past. In fact, they’re often sent to you by the ministry of angels, who know that a particular helper can draw from their past lives to help you in an area where you may not know what to do.

These guides may be doctors who assist you with your physical health, or money managers or bankers who help you attract or better manage your money. They may even be odd-job workers or fix-it wizards who help you repair things—such as the mechanic guide I mentioned earlier who helped jump-start my car when it stopped running in traffic.

My father is a master handyman (among other things), and for as long as I can remember he’s been able to fix anything that breaks down, including televisions, vacuums, refrigerators, DVD players, air conditioners, and even washing machines and dryers. Amazed at his skill, I once asked him where he learned to be so handy, to which he replied, “I didn’t actually learn from anyone. I simply follow my inner guide who tells me what to do, and together we seem to figure it out.” Dad must have quite a talented helper, since he always gets the job done.

Note that some of your helpers stay with you all your life, while others are more temporary and only step in for a short time to assist with a particular project or assignment. If you’re willing to listen to their guidance, these guides will stick around and see things through to the end. If, on the other hand, you ask for aid and then perpetually ignore it, they’ll step away. They’re there to help, but they’ll never force you to accept their assistance, so if you insist on doing everything your way and never consider their input, they’ll respect you and pull back.

The key to working successfully with any of your helpers is to quiet your mind and trust what comes to it, rather than allowing skepticism or logic to shoot down their suggestions. You may hear their instruction in only one or two words (or a few more if you’re lucky), and often they’ll only repeat their direction once, so as not to interfere with your free will—it’s up to you to pay attention so that you don’t miss it.
