Selene and Raph finished their task and everybody, except Ferin still grumpily sitting at the entrance, was discussing what they had taken off the wall. Most of it nobody could understand.

“Well, I’m sure we will have plenty of time to make sense of it.” Minos said stretching his legs. “I vote for crashing for the night.” He glanced at Selene with a wicked smile on his face. She blushed, but agreed.

“Hmmm, that sounds good.” Zoë said rubbing her tired eyes.

Ferin screamed, “Someone is coming.” He rushed to his bags in the back of the cave and returned with his collection of knives.

“What? Who?” Raph asked confused.

“How would I know, I just saw the moon glinting on something, in the woods below.”

“Damn. I knew we could be trapped in here. There is only one way out,” Selene yelled. Zoë stared at her. She did not, as usual hide behind Minos. No. She grabbed a knife in each hand and was prepared to fight, whoever dared to walk into that cave.

Zoë smiled, this was a new Selene, a protector.

“I think it best, if we all first try to hide and see who it is.” Minos said, pulling Selene closer to him.

“They must have noticed the fire,” Zoë said nervously.

“Right, everybody find a spot to hide. I will sit here in front of the fire and pretend I’m here all alone. Let’s first see, who they are.” Raph suggested.

“I agree.” Minos and Billy said.

Everybody found some spot to try to disappear into. They waited.

It only took a few minutes, but it felt like an hour of waiting before they could hear voices coming closer and closer.

Raph stood up and faced the entrance.

He stared as three people walked into the cave. They froze as they caught sight of Raph.

“Who are you?” A very tall man in a black cloak demanded, pulling out an ancient looking sword.

Behind him, a disfigured man in tattered clothes, took out an old short sword and ax. A tall woman walked around them and closer to Raph. She was stunning with long blond hair. In her hands was another beautiful, ancient sword.

Raph looked at them with a slight smile. “I can ask you the same question, Sir?”

The disfigured man stepped closer. “You are very cocky, what is your story?”

Raph laughed, “Cocky, Oh well, I was sitting here minding my own business, when you barge in, on me, and you call me cocky, Sir?”

The woman smiled and came closer to Raph. “You are very brave, young one, you don’t know what we are, and you are all alone,” she said, looking around the cave suspiciously.

“Well, where I come from, you don’t barge in on people and then pull weapons on them, quite rude.”

“You are in our cave, and I asked you, who you are,” the tall man demanded very irritated.

“Calm down, Phillip, I’m sure he was just resting for the night.” The woman said softly, licking her lips.

“He is resting in our cave, and we came here to attend to some urgent tasks, my dear, he is in our way.
