Ingredients:

Pumpernickel bread

Eight slices

Avocado, peeled, pitted

1

Almond butter, softened

Eight tablespoons

Hummus

1 cup

Sauerkraut, rinsed, and moisture squeezed out

1 cup

Instructions:

Switch on the oven, set it to 450 degrees F, and let preheat.

Meanwhile, spread one tablespoon butter on one side of each slice, then take a baking sheet and place four slices on it, butter-side down.

Then spread half of the hummus evenly on the slices placed in the baking sheet, top with sauerkraut and avocado slices.

Spread remaining hummus on the side of the remaining bread slices without butter and then place on avocado slices, hummus side down.

Bake the sandwiches for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through until crispy and golden.

Serve straight away.
