“Hi, Pogo. Hi, Star,” Bella calls out. She doesn’t say anything to Keira, since Keira wouldn’t understand her.

The dog and pony turn to look at us.

“Hi, bunnies. Do we know you?” Pogo asks, looking puzzled.

Before we can answer, Keira notices us. “Oh, what adorable bunnies.” She bends down and picks me up.

As I wriggle around in Keira’s arms, trying to get comfortable, I tell Pogo, “Of course you know us. We’re Anna and Bella.”

“Anna? Bella? What are you doing here? And why are you rabbits?” Pogo asks.

“We came to help Cloudy with his pumpkin problem,” Bella explains. “Did you know that all of the pumpkins were stolen?”

“What?” Star exclaims. “Without pumpkins, the festival will be ruined!”

“Can’t Poppy just use her glitter to make new pumpkins appear?” Pogo asks hopefully.

“Unfortunately, no,” I tell them. “Poppy’s magic isn’t strong enough to make pumpkins appear out of nowhere. But there is good news. Cloudy planted pumpkin seeds three days ago, and with the help of Poppy’s magic, those pumpkins will be ready by tomorrow.”

“But what if the new pumpkins are stolen too?” Pogo asks worriedly.

“That won’t happen,” Bella states confidently. “Anna and I just helped Cloudy build a huge scarecrow to frighten away the thieves. Plus, we think we know who’s stealing the pumpkins.”

Pogo looks relieved. “I have no idea what a scarecrow is, but it’s a good thing you two came to Flower today.”

Star nods her head in agreement, then adds, “Now I understand why you’re here, but I still don’t understand why you’re rabbits?”

“Bella and I think some bunnies stole the pumpkins, but we need more proof,” I reply. “We thought it would be easier to search for evidence if we were bunnies, too.”

Keira puts me down, and then picks up Bella. She begins to gently rub Bella’s cheeks.

Bella grins down at me from Keira’s arms. “I can’t wait to see Keira’s face when I tell her she rubbed my cheeks!” Bella says with a laugh.

“It is pretty funny,” I tell Bella, “but we need to get going—we need to keep investigating.”

Pogo begins bouncing around excitedly. “I’m a great detective. Can I help you look for the thieves?”

“Absolutely,” Bella says. “That would be wonderful.” She jumps out of Keira’s arms and lands gracefully on the grass.

“We have no time to lose,” Pogo cries. “Let’s go!”

The three of us say goodbye to Star, then hop and run into Fairy Forest.
