Wow! That’s a bold statement. And while we think it may be over-egging the Webtastic pudding, we understand why the authors are so excited. Books that feature portfolio careers and were written little more than a decade ago barely even mention using a computer. We forget how far we’ve come in such a short time. We think what the Wikinomics authors are trying to say is that we’re at the beginning of a wonderful journey, one that’ll allow pretty much all of us, regardless of education, social background, wealth, race, gender and ability to be able to connect and have a conversation with almost any individual or organisation on the planet. That’s another wow!

If we aren’t alone in the real world, then we won’t be alone online for very long. We live in interesting times.
