3.2 The Mathematical Model for Inspection Planning of PMPs on CMM

The component part of a model for the offline inspection planning of PMP on a CMM is a mathematical model shown in [1] (Fig. 3.2). It plays a major role in defining the relationships between coordinate systems of the measuring machine, measuring part and features. Each software producer for CMM possesses its own developed and implemented mathematical model.

Relying on the existing software for inspection on CMMs based on CAD representation of PMPs, the inspection principle is carried out based on the following formula:
