Rahul daCunha is managing director and creative head of daCunha Communications, the ad agency that creates the Amul outdoor billboards. He co-wrote the award-winning Hamara Bajaj campaign, and won a Gold from the Art Directors Club (New York) for his creative work on Shopper’s Stop. Rahul has also written/ directed plays like I‘m Not Bajirao, Pune Highway and Class of ’84.

I worked on my first Amul hoarding in June 1993. Nineteen years and 1500 hoardings later, I never tire of spoofing India. Here are a few things that fascinate me about this campaign:
