Chapter 3

He’s lucky I took Sullivan at all. He couldn’t hold me to promises I made under duress. Anyway, in the end, all I had to do was put anal sex on the menu and then ever so slightly withhold it if he didn’t agree to stop giving me a hard time about hyphenating my name. A cold front had just blown in and the fireplace mixed with the smell of stew made the house so sweet and comfy –it had to get him in a good mood. By the time he rolled in at 6:30, it was dark, snow was starting to fall, and I greeted my cold, wet husband at the door dressed in one of his t-shirts and a pair of thong panties with a ladle in my hand.
