Real photo of the first streetcar in Aberdeen. These cars were very elegant with aisles carpeted in red. A typical car could carry 30-40 passengers with additional riders standing and holding on to hand straps. These hand straps carried advertising from local businesses.

Aberdeen’s first streetcars were yellow and the trolley’s number was painted on each end of the car. Windows allowed passengers a panoramic view of the route as well as ventilation on a hot day. Entry doors were located on each end of the cars. The early cars had bench type seats running lengthwise, but later models had two seats on either side of an aisle running the length of the car.
